About Us
Rolling for Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Daphne, Alabama, dedicated to helping youth grow both mentally and physically through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. This martial art promotes physical fitness and mental well-being by fostering discipline, focus, resilience, perseverance, and confidence. It also supports social and emotional development by encouraging respect, humility, teamwork, leadership, and personal responsibility—all within a supportive and inclusive community.
In partnership with the Ruff Wilson Youth Organization, we provide free jiu-jitsu classes for children ages 4-12. Our professional coaches lead fun, structured sessions twice a week focusing on discipline, confidence, and teamwork. We supply uniforms, mats, and all equipment so families never pay a thing.
Our program provides kids a safe environment where they can stay active, build life skills, and connect with positive role models. Everything we do is designed to help them grow mentally and physically stronger — on and off the mat.

Organizational Overview
Rolling for Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Daphne, Alabama. Since launching in 2023 we have partnered with the Ruff Wilson Youth Organization to provide Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) classes twice a week for kids aged 4 to 12. Our sessions are led by professional BJJ athletes and coaches from Checkmat Daphne, and we provide all uniforms, mats, and gear needed for participation.
Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 PM for one hour. Our coaches, Fabio Vieira and Gilberto (Giba) Saraiva , use a student-focused and disciplined approach to help young participants develop both physical and mental health benefits that extend beyond the mat.
